Ground Rules: Coggins papers will be checked before entering grounds every night, NO EXCEPTIONS. 60 second time limit for every event (contestant only). No horses are allowed tied in the arena during slack or rodeo. No contestants standing in the arena before or after competing. Arena open for warm-up from 5:30-6:45pm. No warming up in the arena during the rodeo. No overnight plugs available. Committee will set neck ropes. Arena is big enough to accommodate steers or heifers – 16′ box 16′ score. Team Roping 14′ neck rope/16′ score; Steer Wrestling 9′ neck rope/11′ score; Tiedown & Girls Breakaway 10’6″ neck rope/13′ score. No reruns given if the pusher pushes the calf or steer into head gate causing it not to open. All slack will be held Wed, Feb.12, 2025, beginning at 7:00PM. Slack order will be GBR, SW, CR, GBK and TR. Slack will start with Girls Barrel Racing at 7:00pm. Steer Wrestling slack will begin after arena drag at the conclusion of Girls Barrel Racing. All other events will begin immediately after the previous event concludes. One companion pass per contestant given. BB & SB may be combined. All BR contestants will be required to pay day money entry fee if they enter the Bull Riding at the Katy Rodeo. No money is taken out of day money entry fees. If no qualified rides occur in a performance, all day money from that performance will be added to the BR added money. BR may have 2 sections. NO BACK-TO-BACK runs including hazers. A 60 SECOND TIME LIMIT WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN ALL EVENTS. Timed event contestants – only the competing contestants are allowed in the arena, including during slack. Absolutely no one standing or sitting in the arena before or after competing in an event is allowed. Once a contestant has competed, he/she will be required to exit the arena.

Fines must be paid through the CPRA office.
Have your information ready on all the entries you will be entering. Do not ask the operator to hold while you search for card numbers or social security numbers of others you are entering. You will have a 1st preference backed with a 2nd preference on a 1st come 1st serve basis (Card holders will have preference over permit entries).You will need your CPRA card number or the last four digits of your SS#.
Be prepared to write down your confirmation number. If you have a problem with your entry and failed to write your confirmation number do not call for assistance. We can only review your entry by your confirmation number. Only four entries per call will be accepted.
CPRA draw will be posted at www.rodeosportsnetwork.com.
Once the books have closed there will be no draw outs.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE DAYSHEETS TO CONFIRM THE PERFORMANCE OR SLACK YOU ARE ENTERED IN.
Call the CPRA office if you have any questions, however, please note that no entries will be taken through the CPRA office.
FINALS QUALIFICATIONS:
To compete at the Finals you must be a member and compete at 10 CPRA Rodeos of which 7 must be CPRA first approved rodeos within the season year for timed events and 5 must be CPRA first approved rodeos within the season year for rough stock events.
FINES:
Contestants must pay all fines before entering a rodeo. Fines must be paid in the CPRA office before your entry can be taken. All fines must be paid with cash, money order, or credit card (Master Card or Visa). Payment with a credit card will have a $5.00 service charge added. No checks will be accepted by the association for a fine. CPRA members and non-members, if you enter a CPRA or CPRA first approved rodeo and turn out you will be fined your entry fees plus $25.00 . Notified turn-out are not accepted.
VET/DOCTOR RELEASES:
Contestants are entitled to a total of two (2) releases per year. Contestants may use two of either Vet or Doctor releases, or one of each. Releases must be in the CPRA office within seven (7) business days after the last performance. The release must state the contestants name, CPRA card number, and the rodeo from which you are releasing.
ENTRY FEES:
All fees MUST be paid in CASH. No checks will be accepted.
